Peace of mind is an important thing in human’s life. But it is very difficult to achieve. There is a relation between our brain and peace of mind. It is very good if we could keep calmness in a job with pressurable situation. To keep the peace, we can do one thing is that we do retreat, prayer, meditation and yoga etc. The meaning of those things are to control our 5 senses of brain and thereby to achieve the tranquility. Is it not good to do things with calmness in a pressurable situation? One can control the speed of mind to achieve the power of mind and tranquility. That is the reason in Yoga, it is said that “power of mind depends upon the controlling the speed of mind”.
As we think, the mind is not an organ of body. It is purely a condition of thinking by the process of brain. Scientifically, it is the total work of brain. It may be just like as we see sky, or cloud. Our brain is like a super computer. It is made of neurons. Mind is a phenomen by the work of neurons. Our thoughts are transmitted by a process called neurotransmission in the neurons. It is like an electrical message. When one has got a new thought, there is a new transmission starts. When the human thoughts are good, the transmission would also be good. Whereas, if the transmission exceeds or decreases without control, the psychological problems will start.
In the neurons, there is part called dendrites. When the brain grows, this also develops. But to control its excess growth, there is process in the brain called pruning. This important process happens at the time of adolescence. This process is technically an eradication of unnecessary information and memory in the brain and this time is very useful to lay a foundation of fundamental and basic good behaviours in an individual’s life. Since the adolescence is termed as an important time in human’s life. Here the meditation ways play an important role to fulfill these all. Dendrites are made like the wiring in a super computer. When there is any defect in the wiring, the machine also will be in defect. Same way, if the dendrites are in defect, psychological/psychiatrical defects starts. If theses defects corrects in the appropriate time, the individual grows perfectly and becomes normal person. Here the meditation ways helps people a lot and thereby the good neurotransmission paths develop. Now this way, it helps people to survive all the temptations from the society.
